Church and Tenant Empowerment Worker

 

Location: Cambridge

 

Hope into Action is a rapidly growing award-winning charity that enables churches to house the homeless and vulnerable.

 

Since opening our first house in 2010 we are now running more than 60 homes in numerous locations including Peterborough, Cambridge, Nottingham, Norwich, Lincoln, Wolverhampton, Reading, Isle of Wight and Woking.

 

Every home we open is in partnership with a local church and generally support two to three single tenants who were homeless or vulnerably housed, additionally we have homes for refugees. Our tenants have a range of support needs, so Hope into Action team members need to possess high levels of empathy, be adaptable and show willingness to learn from peers and pick up new skills quickly.

 

In Cambridge we are currently working in partnership with 7 local Churches and have 7 homes open, with more in the pipeline.

 

Due to expansion in the Cambridge area we are looking for a Church and Tenant Empowerment Worker to become part of the team.

 

We are looking for a person who is able to work 16- 20 hours per week and have a passion for the vulnerable and the local church.

 

You would ideally have experience of working with vulnerable adults, have the ability to develop networks, liaise with churches and local agencies and work independently. Any offer of employment would be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

 

Salary: £ 21,500 – £ 22,500 pro rata

Church and Tenant Empowerment Worker

  

Location: Peterborough

 

 

Hope into Action is a rapidly growing, award-winning charity that enables churches to house the homeless and vulnerable.

 

Since opening our first house in 2010 we are now running more than 60 homes in numerous locations including Cambridge, Nottingham, Norwich, Lincoln, Wolverhampton, Reading, Isle of Wight and Woking.

Each home is set up in partnership with a local church and supports 2-3 adults (homeless, vulnerable, ex-offenders etc.). In addition, we have a few houses offering support to families.

 

In Peterborough we are currently working in partnership with 14 local Churches and have 17 homes open, with another in the pipeline.

 

Due to expansion in the Peterborough area and a change in role we are looking for a Church and Tenant Empowerment Worker to become part of the team.

 

We are looking for someone who is able to work 32-40 hours per week and has a passion for the vulnerable and the local church.

 

You would ideally have experience of working with vulnerable adults, have the ability to develop networks, liaise with churches and local agencies and work independently.

 

 

 

Salary: £ 21,500 – £ 22,500 pro rata
